Anyway we'll wait results and retrospective of it. :)

Some years ago I was not sure that agile methodology will be accepted in P., but I'm really glad about your success, and I think it's real success, if even director permitted such experiments. :)Stas Zaitsevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03292493426579288660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5181352157149802369.post-70352279713131151872010-12-16T01:38:46.582-07:002010-12-16T01:38:46.582-07:00@kass i think you need a new developer ;-) To be f...@kass i think you need a new developer ;-) To be fair I agree it's not for everyone, I have worked with a few developers who you struggle to get to work efficiently (read at all) in the office, never mind letting them work from home. The right developers is crucial.

MMannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15961250979869059037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5181352157149802369.post-46329478938895987972010-12-15T15:43:39.126-07:002010-12-15T15:43:39.126-07:00interesting, but my experience shows it is impossi...interesting, but my experience shows it is impossible not to do the stuff like that - "...wanting to get up late, watch daytime TV and get their laundry on during teleconferences."
May be I just still not seen a developer like that. :)

It was problematic almost every time (actually in 99,9%) to see developer online, when I was need his participation.

I don't like the idea "working from home", because it would be "half-work". As for me, I would better give him a one-two days vacation, so he will be ready to show his best at office :)

Again, it is probably because I still not seen "right" developer.

P.S. Jon, do not take it personally. Your attitude each time was on a very high level (I remember our work, and early (for you, obviously) meetings...)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03750015879788574889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5181352157149802369.post-46037418054659879382010-12-15T15:24:21.043-07:002010-12-15T15:24:21.043-07:00Have been running remote (Home (kent), Work Bedfor...Have been running remote (Home (kent), Work Bedfordshire & Bangalore) scrum working for past 3 months on a project for a large supermarket chain, it's worked really well (my first agile and remote working), but you can't beat regular face to face meetup every couple of weeks to help build team dynamic, beers after work don't work quite so well sitting around a skype session with a tin. My advice, if at all possibly (granted some times it isnt) make sure everyone knows each other face to face BEFORE the remote working starts, once they do communication works so much better and have a face face to every few weeks, preferably with a few beers afterwards.Mannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15961250979869059037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5181352157149802369.post-1134502637962183392010-12-15T14:58:20.548-07:002010-12-15T14:58:20.548-07:00@Ram -- is a good question.
